I had an opportunity to download this ebook for an evaluation, and it seemed particularly interesting to me since we all have fear in us. Some people deal with fear constantly, some barely fear things, so it was a neat read. Author describes what is fear in general, why do people fear things...that there is a good and bag kind of fear, etc. Then she talks about specific fears and phobias that are very common - like fear of flying, fear of commitment, fear of animals, and surprisingly - fear of success as well.The part three of this book gives an examples of how to deal with fear or how to lessen the effects on a person - by giving certain relaxation advice, hypnosis theory and other references that are supposed to help one cope with phobias.
I do not have any over the top fears or phobias that i would need a treatment for, but this was an interesting read, and i think anyone could benefit from reading this ebook. It is well written and nicely organized.

This is a fearless book about fear. The author takes on the many facets of fear, from fear of Flying to fear of Success or Animals
or Heights and even all the way to fear of Death itself.
Surprisingly, while reading through the list of fears and phobias in the book, one curious thing stood out for me - I realized that I had
some of the fears but not most. I could not fathom why others would have fears that I did not, and that in turn made me wonder
why do I really fear things that others do not think twice about.
That realization alone can get you on the road to eliminating your fears If what I fear is not an issue for others, maybe it's only 'real'
in my own mind but not a real danger to me and I will be better served but not letting that fear control or limit me.
It takes more than just a flash of insight of course and this book is not short of methods to overcome fear.
You can also remind yourself of fears you used to have - like speaking in public, or maintaining an eye contact with people - which
are no longer an issue and realize how dynamic all that fear perception is and how adaptable our minds can be.
The author is well aware of the fact that irrational fears take effort to reduce and eliminate. Therefor, after describing what fear is,,
what its physical expression like in our bodies etc., a large part of the book is dedicated to providing various tactics that you can try
on your own or with a friend or professional therapists if needed, in order to free yourself.
Some of those approaches were new to me like The Sedona Method, while others I had used effectively in the past like the fun EFT
practice (look up 'Tapping' on YouTube) and many others.
One approach (my own, not in the book) that I think can help people deal with fear is to literally hang out with friends who have NO fear
of that very thing you do. By being with them, you become 'aligned' (for no better word) on a subtle and not so subtle level of how safe
they feel in that regard and as a consequence that exposure alone will many times see your own fears just melting away.
The other approach - mentioned in the book - is to tackle a fear head on! - it may work on some types of fears and knock them out cold
before they take over your life.
(I applied this last method to a situation I had 20+ years ago when I lost control over my motorcycle because of an oils spill going at
50 miles around a bend on a highway outside London. The Motorcycle was total loss and my knees were hurt a little. I knew I had to ride
on that same stretch of Highway at the same speed to eliminate a fear of riding my motorcycle and which I did a month later.)
For full disclosure I should say that I love educating myself on subjects related to our mind's complex life and when this book was offered to me free for my unbiased opinion, it looked interesting enough for me to go ahead and take that offer. My review above is 100% my own and I think that the book is fairly complete and can be very helpful for any of us to deal with any kind of limiting fear we face.

Excellent book to help with overcoming fear!! I enjoyed reading each chapter that explained different levels of fear and the solutions on how to overcome it. This book is very educational and will have you confident enough to take on any challenge in life.
I could easily find all this online. The advice was generic and useless. I don't feel this helped me at all.
This book focused on a topic that affects each of our lives daily. The topic discussed is fear and it's something that resides within each of us as a mechanism to safeguard our existence, yet it can prevent you from achieving success in life. How do you overcome fear? I recommend using some of the treatments presented in this book like meditation or counseling to overcome any fear you may desire to defeat.
